Week 39 short email today because i'm lazy and it wasn't that interesting this week,

 Mon, Jun 12

I started with an exchange in Mogi Mirim, We had to take a bus to campinas first to get to take a bus to mogi mirim, Mogi mirim is an hour north of Jaguariuna, and campinas is an hour south, and the bus passes jaguariuna so its pretty dumb i have to go to campinas first but the exchange was pretty fun, couple funny things, but not much worth mentioning, the member from paraguay we visited she said my bag was gonna get wet when i set it on the ground, i told her it was waterproof (and i wanted to say but didn't that the ground was dry)  then she said oh rich american *throwing money out hand movement thingy*, later she pulled out a super cool and fancy gigantic bottle thing for her tereré i wanted to call her a rich american

the next day wednesday we went home but takes a while because we had to walk 40 minutes to bus station, find out we gotta wait an hour and 10 for the bus, ride it to campinas for an 1 hour and 20, wait an hour for the next bus, then ride an hour back to jaguariuna, when we got back the members were nice and sent there son to pick us up drop our bags off at home adn drive us to lunch, i knew this member has some insane hot sauce so i told him larsen really likes spicy food, and larsen ended up putting it all over his food, its insane hot sauce and larsen was dying from the spice, im a pro at pranking my comps, I enjoyed telling the members about my allergies and the members always have tons of questions, it as a good lunch, great food obviously, they told us they have a friend whos son just entered into the mission and the friend told them that he is the in area of ouro verde, where i already served, i told the family its a great area, and he has a great comp, its a little funny because i was already friends with him on facebook even though i havent spoken a word to him in person before, you see missinarys are crazy and i get friend requests from missionarys all around the world that i dont wanna be friends with, but i decided that if they are in the same mission or are going to be that id accept the friend request, because chances are ill end up getting to know them in the future anyways, so i was already friends with him,  that night we had tons of success, we invited one man Felipe to get baptised after we taught him the restauration and he said he was ready to start preparing so that was awesome

on thursday we had our final interview with our mission pres because we get a new one next transfer so that'll be weird, the elderes from amparo came over, to have there interviews, and after they were done there wasn't a bus to return for another three hours so basically they just hung out with us for a few hours, its an interesting group, Me stereotypical looking american, Larsen American with brazillian face because he's got a brazillian mom, Elder Da from portugal, and elder Rojas from ecuador, so obviously a bunch of crap had to go down, the conversation had to come up about dum dum duuuuum rich americans, racist americans, but you see i'm actually a master of dealing with the rich american crap now, just make it into a ridiculous joke and pin it on someone else, we are gonna buy something? dont worry Elder larsen has got it he's a rich american, oh ive got blonde hair blue eyes and im 6 '4? well Elder rojas has an apple watch. He's the rich American, what phone did you have before the mission? oh an iphone Elder rojas is the rich american, what was the most expensive present your parents have bought you?

i'm a pro at dealing with this crap now the group came to the conclusion that me and the elder from portugal are poor and that the elder Rojas from ecuador and elder larsen are rich americans, just make a hilarious joke and pin the attention on someone else, you don't try and logically beat it or try and show you are a hard worker or nothing, just make hilarious jokes,

it only works in brazil with missionaries in brazil though it will not work with anyone else,

Elder rojas bought us ice cream from mcdonalds in the end

Friday we didnt eat in person with a member so ive lost all memory of that day, but saturday we ate with the venesualans so really its just focus harder and you will be able to understand, the problem is because i generally talk less when i understand less the venesualans think im new in the mission and dont speak the language yet, but they dont only have 4 months in brazil, so despite not speaking spanish i do indeed understand pretty well, i may not be able to speak spanish as well as they want me to but at least i speak better portugueses, its just a bummer they cant understand it, so at the end of the lunch i made share to read the scripture in spanish to show off my amazing spanish reading skills, because its the same rules as portuguese but just easier, and that day i learned how to use the verbs Ser, Estar (i am) Poder ( to be able to/can) Gostar (like) querer ( want) and Necesitar ( to need) and because spanish and portuguese are so similar it was not that hard to learn now i just gotta learn to speak faster, but basically my portanol is top tier now and i can communicate with anyone now because spanish and portuguese are the same language pronounced differently, either way at some point either later in the mission or after im gonna learn spanish, because i want to, and itll be way way way easier because i know portuguese

saturday night bishop asked us to give talks because the talks planned the people got sick

so Sunday came but elder Larsen didn't leave me anytime to talk in sacrament meeting so bishop told me to just bear my testimony and save my talk for next week, that night there was a baptism in the ward so that was cool, i drank Avocado smoothie for the first time, and i guess i shouldn't drink it because it became a little bit hard to breath, and when i talked it sounded like i had lost my voice, (Silly allergies) i then told all the members that despite how insane it sounds to them avocado with salt is amazing, and they need to try guacamole, and i told them how to make it, the key is lime juice, so i hear, ;) I also ate really good cake and Pavé so that was a good night, we also talked with Grazi and Vando about the weird differences about the us and brasil, , showers, toilet paper, Vando asked us if americans really think they speak spanish in brazil and live in the jungle, i told him the unfortunate truth,
