Tyler Bremner Campinas Brazil Mission

August 21st 2023 Well transfers were this week but I didn't get transferred and neither did my comp so not much changed,  Sunday and Monday we couldn't withdraw our money.  Tuesday we couldn't withdraw it either! And lunch fell through because we planned to go to the temple and they wanted to do dinner instead of lunch, and I just didn't work out, however one family saved us from very much hunger, and made us some Chile, which you don't see very often in Brazil, so that was fun! During lunch we were able to have a really nice conversation about the gospel, we talked about one church video that talks about a native American family. That taught their sons the steps to the dance, but didn't teach him to hear the music, and for that the son didn't wanna dance anymore. And how it's just like the gospel, if we only teach the steps of the gospel, but we don't teach people to hear the music, or feel the spirit, truly live and love the gospel, many may simply...

  This week just some highlights Had a good district counsel where I made scotch bars and used them to teach, as well as using a Rubio cube Still some guy lighting fields on fire  I drank Jesus Guarana its pretty mediocre  Ward drama about how we apparently can't eat alone with other men, but after much drama the result is we def can Slap slapity slap We ran to a lesson because we were late but Almeida wasn't sweating, and I was sweating bullets when we arrived, it lead to 5 people conversing about how I'm unconditional to run as if I wasn't even there,  Scared my comp and he screamed like a girl We will have a mission tour, with a member of the 70 Elder eddy this next week Tranfers are this Friday! I hit 11 months this week I tried, and also made brigadeiro,  Broke down crying at a members house Saw some like private jets and helicopter,  Tomorrow we will go to the temple to teach someone

July 31, 2023   Tuesday we had district counsel, the catch was our bus came 15 minutes late, and in doing so I showed up 15 minutes late to my own district counsel. When the bus showed up in the neighborhood, we got off to walk to the church, and we see our zone leaders! Also 15 minutes late, well what an embarrassing show of leadership... the icing on the cake was walking into the church heading over to the classroom opening the door and seeing dum dum dum, our new mission president, who decided to make a surprise visit to my district counsel,  And the fun didn't stop there because In my stress about the district counsel I had forgotten that we planned exchanges with the zone leaders, and I was leaving my area, and had forgotten to bring well everything I needed such as clothes and toiletries,  The exchanges were awesome it was a great time with elder Maughan, turns out his grandparents live one street above my aunts house and therefore probably live in the same ward, ot...

 July 24, 2023  Monday! Was a district pday we played volleyball and had a BBQ,  Tuesday! I gave a district counsel that went well, and said goodbye to my first comp Elder Bryan, I'm pretty sure we made more scone calzones or as my comp informed me fogazza we added cheese this time, it was amazing, and I made the dough, it was harder than I thought it would be, but it worked out, they are so tasty, we had some good work this day too, invited a person to prepare to get baptized, he accepted but declined to put a date, but we'll see how it goes Wednesday, I made cookies they or maybe that was Tuesday, I don't remember, I hadn't made cookies on the mission before, but it turned out well, used butter instead of shortening, mixed it with a fork, cookies are much more work than scotch bars, gotta put it balls using my hands, only got one pan, but it worked out really well and they were rather tasty, I think the brown sugar is a lot different here in Brazil, the neighbors love...
