Week 78 see ya later sisters 🫡

 Mon, Mar 11

So I've made it to 18 months on my mission today so that's pretty crazy, I've now done a sisters mission, so that means all the sisters who showed up with me are gonna be gone on Friday which is also transfers, so imma find out if imma be here still, 

This week has been pretty stressful Lotta drama out here, 

Monday we tried a bunch of things that didn't work

Tuesday we taught Reinaldo a bit about the plan of salvation and gave him some special invites for him to do with ozair a member who's passed through the same problems 

We also tried another bunch of things that didn't work, then we went a long ways away to Paulina to do a baptism interview that worked out! Then we got super soaked in a crazy rainstorm and a dude asked us for a book of Mormon saying that he say the angel Moroni and he told him that he'd send two people one with a blue broken umbrella to give him one, but the problem is people here like asking for books of Mormons to use the pages to smoke, and neither me nor my comp felt the spirit we just smelt the Marijuana so we went on our way, 

The plan way to then head to barão Geraldo but after some drama and canceling a baptism interview we went home

Wednesday 

We had an exchange that day and I was with elder hatch and he's awesome he's got tons of potential, we had lots of great lessons one was a lesson with Reinaldo, we were teaching him about the word of wisdom and helping him with his goals when I remembered a story sent to me a couple months ago about my great-grandparents and shared it with him, then when impressed powerfully by the spirit we invited him and promised that if he put the rest of his alcohol down the drain and committed to never drink again he would never have the need to drink again, and the spirit was very powerful, 

He said hed pray about it because he wasn't quite sure yet

As I write this president Harker called and. Said that the day I leave the mission will be August 30th and asked if that's okay, so that's stressful but I'm pretty sure it's okay lol

After that we went to grab a bus to go to barão Geraldo but a member found us and gave us a ride but when we got out of his car we got a text asking to remark the baptism interview, but we tried to make it work anyways, we taught some people who walked past the church, we taught one guy who walked past with magic tricks, and then another guy who we taught about the book of Mormon and the restauration and gave him one, he really thought the message was interesting because he uses family search but never knew these things about the church, we invited him to church and he said "ah but I won't be welcome because.. I'm gay" and we told him that's not true at all, because it's not, the baptism interview didn't happen but because we got there early from the member ride, We were able to teach this awesome man so worth it 

Thursday,

We had sort of an out of nowhere exchange the next day to where I was with elder belnap I'm his area, we had a great day, we visited an inactive member couple who had tons of really really old church books and said we could take what we wanted 

Friday 

We taught Reinaldo again and he decided to dump his alcohol down the drain 🤞

We also did a really long but really good weekly planning 

Saturday, basically everything we tried fell through because all the stores were closed and it was raining but we taught this "spirit preist" dude he was pretty cool he believes in reincarnation and summoning spirits to help people so it was a pretty interesting convo 

Sunday we had a nice sacrament meeting and a nice weekly coordination meeting,

And a really great lunch in the favela with Sandra and her family, and some other meetings and our visits didn't work, so we got a lot of stuff to catch up on for this next coming week so pray for us and Reinaldo
