Feliz natal

Again I don't have a ton of time this week because the restaurant we tried to eat at today wasted three hours of our time and didn't give us food

This week on Monday was my birthday and district p-day, we had a churrasco and played volleyball, and capture the flag they surprised me with a cake, the whole day was pretty fun, it was at the chapel in Valinhos this chapel has three floors and I think it's the coolest chapel I've ever seen, the the actual sacrament meeting room is on the top floor I think it's awesome. It's huge and looks like a temple, I'm also a pro at capture the flag I have a strategy I won't elaborate on but I call it the invisible giant

Speaking of temple we had zone conference this week and the first half was doing the endowment ordinance in the Campinas temple it was pretty awesome, different cause it's in Portuguese, and I bought a tiny book of mormon in the store I was quite happy about that

For Christmas I learn a lot about the traditions of Christmas in another culture, in what culture you ask?? You gueeesssed it..............Venezuela?? Turns out here in Brasil, and as far as I'm aware all of South America 24th of December is bigger than the 25th so we had a big dinner on the night of the 24th with a family of Venezuelans who mostly spoke Spanish the whole time I can read Spanish as well as I can read Portuguese but understanding it when they speak it is a whole other challenge, they ended up buying me and Elder Romero a little present which was awesome, and leads into my very fast thought. A lot of times at Christmas we hear the words its the thought that counts, it's cheesy and it's often true and it's not always true. As a missionary far away in a country that doesn't like to deliver packages successfully, i don't receive presents for Christmas really, and even if I did the missionary standards are quite strict in that what present would a person get me anyway I already have book of Mormons and white shirts, my friends and family and far away and I know they are thinking some thoughts but it's hard to feel them though thousands of miles away with a 4 our time difference, I don't really have friends or family here in Brasil, so really the best present you get is just be thought of, I went to this dinner expecting nothing while watching them open presents then I got handed a present and opened it up and found, a tie, how excited I was to receive this purple tie, when I've already received what most would consider to be much better gifts in the pasts and yet here I was completely stoked to receive a gift

I think this is quite cool and shows the grand effect giving has on other people and the grand effect it had on me and now that Christmas Christmas already over lol try doing something good for someone else who is expecting it

To help learn patience I made a card tower and for me this is quite the accomplishment because ive never succeeded in making one before and I never was able to figure out how to get cards on the second level  before this week
