What even happened this week?

Mon, Mar 20

It's always so hard to remember what happened during the week when i start writing, we had an activity that we went to this week, and right before we taught a lesson, with a few members and one of the people we are teaching, it was a good lesson, but even cooler afterwards, she showed us some caricatures she had drawn of us, and that is super cool, it had us holding the scripture moroni 10:4-5 she said she perceived that we share that scripture a lot, and it's true we do, and her caricatures were pretty good too, one thing that wasn't cool, was i spilled a ton of orange grease on my white shirt, from the food of the activity, it didn't come out in the wash...

we also this week traveled to the other area we received and they have a house there for us to use and work over there in amparo, so we traveled to this other city to work, and it was really cool, the church over there is a brach, and and church building is just a big house, organized to be a church witch is really cool, the city of amparo is really cool, it has a lot of great views, there is a sick christus that you can see from the most places in the city, and that's pretty cool.

the members of this branch are also super cool, they all want to help with missionary work, its super awesome,

we also decided to work in a bunch of neighborhoods where no missionaries seemed to have gone before, they were all a bit far away, but as missionaries in brazil we walk a lot so its fine, we started our trek towards far away neighborhoods in jaguariuna, we visited every person that we have the records of as having been taught before in the areas and neighborhoods on the way, and then we started walking to a new area way up in the hills, where no missionary has gone before, and we knocked/clapped doors, everyone up there had humongus houses, and it was super cool, because everyone we talked to had never spoken to missionaries before, and that was very different then normal, normally when we ask people if theyve spoken to missionaries before its "yep already" it super fun to go to this neighborhood, where people look at you and have no idea who you are, and then we tell them our purpose, its awesome, and for bonuses that hill has some amazing veiws, i can see campinas from the hill, whitch is impressive, just amazing sunset veiws, over the incredibly incredibly green rolling hills of brazil, im sure everyone in that neightborhood will be baptised in 10 years,

on the way to this hill where no one knows the missionaries we did a bunch of work, but other work we did was the removal of pests, for public safety, that is the complicated way to say my companion, has no regard for his safety, as we (mostly he) throws things at gigantic spiders, until he gets a stick to grab it and kill hit while i video it, these spider webs are so strong they catch the rocks he throws, but what we have learned is we haven't found a bug that can't be killed by the sole of a shoe, our excuse for the removal of gigantic spiders, is what if some kid is running on the sidewalk and they ran into this insane spider web, it would be wrong not to remove it, because even we almost ran into it, and if i ran into it, there would be a 100% of death, why you may ask, because doctors may be able to make or have the best antivenom in the world and find me 2 seconds after im bit, but they still wouldnt be able to save me, because my heart would have stopped the second i ran into the web, but its fine my comp is a trained professional in dropping the stick before the spider crawls all the way up on it, then he steps on the spider, afterall hes experienced, it was the second giant spider we removed, egiahegiohae i hate spiders, im so terrified of spiders, there exists many times where im like wow brazil is beatiful like maybe there would be a situation i would live here, but then i see the spiders and i remember many reasons why i couldnt, idk where the spiders come from in our house, but each day i have 5 more to kill, and those are just the house spiders, not even these giant terrifing colorful spiders that catch rocks, we also ran past a forresty patch filled with crazy spiderwebs and we could see 5 of those horrifing giant spiders, we decided that was the spiders territory and they could have it, my comp asked me (assuming i dont have a heart attack and die) lets assume im running from a guy with a gun and a knife, and i run into one of these spiderwebs what would i do, i responded reasonable saying, well it would probably stop me but if it didn't, id call a timeout, and ask him to check out my back and see if there was a spider on me, and if there was ask him to shoot it off, id have to call a timeout, it wouldn't be fair for us to continue. erouierou these spiders are my worst nightmare,

after one of the lunches some members took us in there car to get ice cream cones in the drive thru of mcdonalds, it had been so long doing something like that, it felt like a different world, and mcdonalds has twist ice cream here, and they were bobbing normal american music on the radio, nothing so normal had ever felt so weird before, my comp said he forgot he was on his mission,

the last elders who were in the house of amparo, took all the toilet paper with them, didn't leave water, and unplugged the fridge, to leave everything they left in the freezer to melt and rot for us, so that was cool, it made for and exciting trip to the other city, in the house i found a lizard, or what the brazilians call baby alligators, or what i call the spider eater 3000, or baby dragon, nonetheless it was a lizard on our wall, a baby one, and i didnt like the idea of sleeping in the same house, so i had to capture it in a jar and release it into the wild, unfortunately my jar capturing skills were bad and now its tail is just a little tiny bit shorter now, and still wiggling on the wall to this day, but its having a blast somewhere outside of our house now, we are bros.

Brazil has insanely big lizards though...
