Week 91

Its been a crazy week for sure 

Monday we started the week with fire, decided that we were going to hit our goals this week, and we did indeed start out with fire, truly one in companionship with the spirit, we didn't exactly get the results we were looking for, but we had a really great lesson with André teaching Reinaldo, so that was pretty cool, 

We had our zone leadership counsel that night which was also gratifying, we came up with plans to really help the zone catch fire and start flying, I really came to enjoy working with the leaders of my zone,

Tuesday
 This transfer I had been focusing on changing my nature, working with much more than just my might and strength but also my mind and heart, our might and strength isn't that difficult for me in the mission it's as simple as just deciding to work and not be a lazy bum, but mind and heart I've been studying a lot, our mind is our thoughts, it's our focus, am I focused on the work? Or as I work am I thinking about other things, what ever the distraction may be, our heart is our desire,  do I really have the desire to be working right now or am I just walking from place to place waiting for it to be over, am I keeping the commandments AND desiring to keep them?

I can say by personal experience that when you work on all 4 parts of our soul our heart might mind and strength, our nature will change and not just our behavior, when we just change our behavior and not our nature and have our will become one with God's, it will be very difficult to be happy, preach my gospel says true repentance changes our behavior our thoughts and our desires, what more can be said than this

What's interesting is as I have worked on it, opposition has increased a lot, the more I try and align my thoughts and desires with God's, the more distractions and temptations come, and it's been crazy strong, but as I've come to trust in God's he's given me the strength to win a lot, and I mean a lot of really big battles this transfer 

we had lunch with André which was great, I love him and his family they are so awesome, and then we went to work, and with a lot of mind and heart we saw many miracles. And I could clearly see real progress for the first time in a long time

I'm kind of out of time but I have a spiritual need to journal the rest so you guys will be seeing the rest of it next week

  Mon, Aug 12 What's up guys, this final transfer of mine has been pretty crazy and that's why I haven't had much time to tell you all, and unfortunately some of these stories can be told only once I've finished my mission but if you ask I'll be sure to let yall know, Anyways this last week has been pretty crazy as well I've been going on the grind, I lost 14 pounds this week, and I'm going for a couple more,  We had zone conference and it was incredible makes me wish I could extend my mission but we can only decide that six months ago so oh well, we talked about testimony vs conversion and how we can be converted and also about exact obedience and the difference between transactional and transformational obedience, I more deeply learned that a testimony is knowledge of the truth and conversion is the application of that knowledge into action, whether we really follow what we proclaim and what we know,  Fun fact every choice we make there is a transfer of po...

Week 52

  I've reached week 52 witch means I've been counting correctly at least,  This week was cool I think, I don't remember it all so imma just talk about the cool stuff that is mostly spiritual We had our interviews with president Harker which was amazing, I've def never met such a spiritual giant like him, he has the spirit with him, he knows what to say in all moments, well he told me about Lucas 14 what man builds a tower without first counting the costs to see if he has sufficient resources to finish it, (Bremner memory translation) then asks me if I remembered what he talked about from his first talk he gave about building mansions in heaven, and it sufficed me to say that I told him I dreamed about this interview a week before and that I had dreamed about being in an interview with him, and he asked me the same questions he asked me in real life,  He asked me an interesting question, many tell themselves I didn't sign up for this, well what did you sign up for, w...
