Week 94 baptism week make it crazy

I had forgotten to say that last week during week 93 we had a mission tour with Elder koch of the seventy, and It was incredible, he really opened up my vision of how I see my missionary purpose 

This week was pretty awesome ngl it was also a baptism week so that means it was crazy

It already started out crazy on Monday 

We went to teach Maria Eduarda who was on date for that Saturday, and we always teach her in front of her house on the sidewalk because we can't enter her house, and before we had exactly started teaching her a man came over a man who was a less active member, I knew that because a week before we knocked his door and he told us "I'm catholic and busy" and closed the door and he asked us if we were Mormons then instantly invited us to go over to his house and drink some water, but the spirit was not good and was telling me that I should not go into his house I told him we were kind of busy talking with maria eduarda but we'd be happy to visit him another time and we agreed on Friday but then, and he replied no "it'll be fast I'll he'll give us water" I told him that we really didn't have time today, but them my comp replied to him and me saying no its fine we can go really fast, then the spirit was really not good anymore, I then said no we didn't have time because the spirit had told me not to go into that man's house at any cost, he then told us he was alone and that it would be quick, and the water was filtered (as though that would comfort me more) I said we couldn't, then my comp asked maria eduarda if we could and she just shrugged looking a little concerned, and then he said we could talk to maria eduarda a different day, I then said that a different day wouldn't work, and then it got real awkward, the man than said "oh he just doesn't want to go" I replied saying that wasn't exactly the reason" and then I said if we finish here and there is still time then we could go and he agreed and I apologized for the inconvenience, but with him still there I didn't know exactly what to do, our lesson plan was about tithing, before the opening prayer I asked him if there was anything he'd like to ask for in the prayer and he said for his brother, so I did, when I opened my eyes bro had moved from 5 steps from my right side to almost touching me on my left side during the prayer 

I opened my scriptures slowing thinking what to teach in this environment that frankly no longer had the spirit 

Then I decided well if there was any bad intent or any chance I was going down i was taking him down with me spiritually, then at least in the final judgement he couldn't say he didn't know if he had the intent to do anything bad 

I opened to Mosiah 18 8-10 and spoke of the baptismal covenant 

I said pointing to him me and my comp 

We have made a covenant in baptism to 

Take upon us the name of Christ act like he would

Serve God and our neighbors 

Keep the commandments

And endure to the end

I then spoke of the commandments with my legs shaking 

Thou shalt love the lord thy God above all things

Thou shalt honor thy father and mother

He then cut in and said "okay let's go to my house now?" 

I then said no I still haven't finished 

Thou shalt not kill 

Thou shalt not steal

Thou shalt not lie 

Thou shalt not covet 

I explained that we shalt not break the law of chastity nor the word of wisdom explaining each commandment, and promised the blessings of keeping these commandments and bore testimony in the name of Jesus Christ 

And the He said let's go then? I'll give you guys water, 

I stayed silent for about 15 seconds not really knowing what to say and the only thing I received was the powerful spiritual impression "do not enter this man's house"

My comp them said let's go, I then looked at maria eduarda my comp and the man, and they began walking so I followed, I took my bag off my shoulder and put it in my right hand in case I needed something heavy to swing, and I out my pen in my left in case I needed something pointy 

In the short 15 second walk to his house my comp asked him various questions that he never responded, he asked about his brother whom he asked us to pray for, and no response on the third time, he said his brother was doing really well and that he and his wife were really well off, 

He then said "wait where are my keys?" And I thought I'd then received my miracle, but he found them in his front gate, he then opened the gate to the house and said for us to enter, the spirit was so clear that I was not to enter his house, so I asked if we could just do it out front , and he said no we'll be quick sit on the couch I'll get you guys water, I then asked again if we could just talk out front, and he said in a stronger voice no I won't stay out here, and my comp took a couple steps into the garage saying to me let's go in, and I said no we have to go soon, and then the miracle happened, my comp afterward told me that when he took the steps into the garage he felt a huge weight in his chest stopping him from entering further, and he felt the same spiritual confirmation that he shouldn't enter, and then me and my comp both three more times spoke back and forth with him saying we already had to go home because we had to be home at 9, and after many offerings of filtered water and reassurances that he was alone then the man gave up and put a watch on from his fanny pack and went inside,

Idk what his intentions were if they were bad or good it's not for me to judge but God's, all I knew is that I was not to enter into his house in that moment 

The next day in the morning we had left the house and there was a small spiritual impression telling me to be extra attenuative because it was the baptism week and that's when things get crazy, , we were going to cross the street and the little green man appeared allowing us to walk, but then the spirit whispered don't cross" there was seemingly no problem but I grabbed my comps shoulder stopping him from crossing, then seemingly out of nowhere a car ran the red light, 10 minutes later at a different cross walm almost the same "don't go" and a car turned where we were crossing without having signaled his turn 

The rest of the week was good but nothing outright historical it was mostly preparing maria eduarda and Abel to get baptized and helping them make friends at church, after teaching Abel about serving others, we invited him to help us in a service project of helping a member move the next morning and he went! It was fun and quick a good move, and he told us that since we had met with him he had thus dreamed three times, one being the night before, that in the first dream me and my comp had invited him to serve a mission, in the second a voice from above telling him that he needed to serve a mission, and in the third we again invited him to serve a mission, he said each time he felt excited and anxious at the idea but also scared and then he'd wake up, pretty exciting for me 

We also had a soup night at church it was fun we helped Abel make some lore friends at church,

Then on Sunday we had maria eduardas baptism it was great, she got baptised twice because brother couto who came from Fortaleza to baptize her, baptized her with his left hand in the air, 

After wards I confirmed her a member and gave her the gift of the holy ghost and blessed her that she would be a light for many people, 

A member even gave me a new sweater that night! It's been freezing cold here 13-20 degrees Celsius 🥶 

But that's my week pray for Abel cause he's gonna get baptized this Saturday!
